The land is my mother and my mother is the land.

I shall be gentle with her.

The land is the starting point where it all began. It’s like picking up a piece of dirt and saying:

this is where I started and this is where I’ll go.

The land is our food, our identity, our vulnerability and our strength, our spirit, our culture.

I am the land and the land is me.

My bones, my blood and my story are in the land.
